Free drinks

In Ohio Gov. John Kasich wants you to have some free drinks and to educate you about the craft beer and wine production to buy more drinks. Giving away alcohol might help get a few votes too. Alcohol use and misuse will always have an aspect of politics and the need for social controls. Business and drugs have sin taxes used to control and educated safer ways for the use of these legal drugs. As a society, we have to control the business responsibility of its effect on a society from the profit made from the sales to reduce the dangers created by their misuse. Craft beers can be very dangerous for smaller patrons that do not understand what the meaning of their ABV percents alcohol rating and that these beers can be equal to 5-8 alcohol bar drinks a serving.   Mandatory education of ABV  is needed in customer service presentation.

An Ohio bill, if signed by Gov. John Kasich, would allow businesses to give away free samples of beer and alcohol.

Currently, Ohio law prohibits businesses or establishments from giving away beer or alcohol. Ohio House Bill 444 was passed in the Senate on Dec. 8, and would allow certain D liquor permit-holders to provide free tasting samples of liquor, wine and beer.

Under existing law, permit-holders must charge customers for drinks, even if they don't meet with the customer's taste. The bill was introduced in early February and referred to the Government Accountability and Oversight Committee.

Lawmakers hope the change will spur growth in the craft beer/liquor industry, and could boost overall economic activity.
