I was at a conference last week in New Orleans. Where the bars never close and the street is active all night long. Great food, great music, family groups, business groups, and not too many aggressive crowd interactions. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to be accommodating. People become part of lines of people organized chaos. The change I see is all ages of people actions are they are on their cell phones and the sharing their times with others. This might be a way to focus more people on attractions in your areas and at your establishments. 

What is special about your location is that people want to see or share. Sharing vacations is a huge part of being on a vacation. Patrons phone time during the time of service is going to increase the time customer's services are given. Sharing phone posts is greater than enjoying vacation time in some people view. People take longer to eat, to order, to have fun because they want others to enjoy and share their vacation more than themselves. Patron ethic of service has to be suggested just so servers can just do their jobs. Respect and civility of all people and staff create the opportunity for great patron service and safer times. Sharing is a greater part of the patrons intent. Sharing should be a part of your advertising because it is part of our social existence. Communication changes the way we enjoy our social interactions. 

The phone has changed our social lives. Did you get my text? Patrons have to be educated how to respect servers. Patrons have to be provided with an opportunity for great service in a timely manner. Respect for all people social space by all patrons is to avoid the opportunity of social conflict. The opportunity for good patron service comes with the ability of good communications.
