Civility creates the opportunity for fun and safety

 Civility is a developed form of patron’s societal understanding and respect. Staff ability to teach, patrons how to respect other patron’s social space will help increase the patron ability to develop restraint. The staff’s training on communication will help protect patron’s right of entry. The acts of uncontrolled incivility by patrons with no internal staff reactions creates an opportunity for violence. The key to patron’s enjoyable social interactions in night live establishments is the ability to reduce stress. The staff ability to allow the patrons to respect and enjoy each other will produce relaxations and social fun. The staff intervention ability is to create safety and fun.  The staff observation of patron actions creates the staff ability to control and educate patrons on what is allowed patron behaviors. The staff recognition and interventions on poly-impaired patron’s uncivil acts could prevent the other patron’s reaction to them. Staff interactions are to actively stop the uncivil actions toward other patrons. The staff education and intervention create an opportunity to prevent violent patron reactions. The staff control of these uncivil internal patron’s behaviors produces social safety and fun. Patrons having fun will want to return because they trusted your ability to control the public interaction. The key to control is the staff ability to educate patrons about acceptable civil behaviors. House policy patron education reduces the opportunity for social confusion which occurs when patron confusion and misunderstanding create the greater opportunity for violence. You cannot predict the timing of violence but you can anticipate the opportunity to control the uncivil acts that may create it.
